Bike Hub App hunts out new cycle routes using roads and cycle paths data from Cyclestreets.net. You can choose from: shortest , quickest and balanced routes. Using balanced we discovered cross-country tracks we did not know existed. It also proved adept at avoiding main roads using underpasses. GPS lock-on is quick on the Galaxy S without signal drop in rural areas. The voice commands  are less useful in town as they tend to be late and the robotic voice can be tricky to hear above traffic noise. Outside of the big smoke it is a useful App.It is free of cost , easy to use and for pedestrians too.

Two vibrations means straight on , one long and one short is right and one short and one long is left. Too bad is you cannot feel the feedback through a jeans pocket and commands go haywire at junctions-it keeps telling us to turn right when we need to go straight on. The positive side of Pocket Navigator, GPS lock-On is quick and it is easy to plan your route. Just tap your final destination on the detailed map.
